Anna Iovine is the associate editor of features at Mashable. She typically writes and edits stories about sex, dating, and other cultural topics through the tech lens. She’s particularly interested in how modern life impacts interpersonal connections.
Anna is a graduate of Vassar College with degrees in film and economics. Prior to her role at Mashable, Anna was a social editor at VICE. Her freelance work has appeared in publications such as Slate, Columbia Journalism Review, and Condé Nast’s queer vertical, them.
The dating buzzword she coined, “orbiting,” was shortlisted for Oxford’s Word of the Year. She’s currently finishing a novel to query in summer 2025.
